Joaquín Gabin played for the Picadero Jockey Club Barcelona in the 1960s, winning pitcher of the year in Spain in 1965. He was listed as an outfielder, though, for the Spanish national team in the 1965 European Championship and as an infielder when they won Bronze in the 1973 European Championship.
