Joaquín Aguilar
Joaquín Aguilar was the first catcher and batter in the history of the Salvadoran national team. In their first game of the 1930 Central American Games, he went 0 for 4 against Agustín Flórez of Panama. He started the game catching another Aguilar, José Aguilar. In their second game, he was 0 for 6 against Guatemala, again hitting leadoff. Their third game, against Mexico, ended early when he fractured his clavicle and the team did not have a substitute; they did not play again. He fielded .615 with 10 errors in two games, compared to 11 for all the other catchers in the Games combined.
