Agustín Flórez
Agustín Flórez was the first pitcher in the history of the Panamanian national team, starting their opener in the 1930 Central American Games and shutting out El Salvador (6 K, 5 H, 2 BB) while going 2 for 6 at the plate as well. He relieved against Mexico then beat Silver Medal winner Mexico with another shutout, 3-0 (5 K, 8 H, 3 BB) to help Panama win the Bronze. He finished 2-0 with a 1.80 ERA while going 2 for 12 at the plate. He tied Narciso Picazo for the most wins in the event. His 14 Ks finished 4th, only four behind leader Rogelio Echeverría.
