Biographical Information[edit]
Jimmy Paredes was signed by scout Victor Mata for the New York Yankees in 2006. He made his pro debut the next summer for the DSL Yankees 1.
On July 31, 2010 Paredes was traded by the Yankees with Mark Melancon to the Houston Astros for Lance Berkman.
Paredes hit a two-run triple in his first major league at-bat, facing Bronson Arroyo of the Cincinnati Reds on August 1, 2011.
After being let go by the Kansas City Royals in 2014, Paredes was picked up by the Baltimore Orioles only to have to watch as the Royals swept his new team in the ALCS.
