Biographical Information[edit]
Outfielder James "Curley" Maloney played from 1889? through 1912 in the minor leagues with 1902 to 1912 entirely in the Texas League. While playing for the Corsicana Oil Citys in 1902, he hit .311 while pacing the circuit with 31 doubles and 101 runs scoredas his team won the pennant. In 1908, he hit .302 for the Dallas Giants and led the league with 169 hits and 34 doubles.
Later, Maloney scouted for the New York Giants and Boston Braves.
