Biographical Information[edit]
Outfielder Aldridge "Babe" Peebles played minor league baseball from 1910 to 1916, and managed into the 1920s. Peebles sold Rogers Hornsby to the St. Louis Cardinals in 1915 and remained friends with Rogers Hornsby until his passing. Peebles came out of retirement to manage the Gainesville Owls in 1948, but may have been replaced even before the season.
