Jimmy Jones was an outfielder and first baseman in the last years of the Philadelphia Stars. He hit .309 as a rookie in 1949 and .313 in 1950. In his last season, 1952, he made the All-Star team. In the 1952 East-West Game, he replaced Henry Merchant in right field for the East and went 0 for 1 in a 7-3 loss.
