Biographical Information[edit]
Jim Rogers made an impact in his brief major league career. Although he wasn't much of a hitter, he played all over the infield in his 151 major league games and also was manager with the Louisville Colonels in 1897. He left shortly before Honus Wagner came up as a rookie on the team.
On May 27, 1897, he successfully used the hidden ball trick.
Jim started in organized ball age age 17, and continued for eleven years. One year he managed in the minors.
