Biographical Information[edit]
Jim Robinson was signed by the Philadelphia Stars and later played for the Indianapolis Clowns, Kansas City Monarchs and Memphis Red Sox, his career spanning 1950-1953 and 1956-1958. He played 3B, 2B and SS. He served 21 months in the US Army during the Korean War. He signed with the St. Louis Cardinals but was injured and never played in their chain. He played in the East-West Game in 1957 and 1958. He later was a social worker for the New York Housing Authority for 28 years. He then was a professor and baseball coach (1990-1993) at South Carolina State University.
