Biographical Information[edit]
Jim McAndrew could never quite break into the talented New York Mets starting rotation on a long-term basis during the late 1960s and early 1970s. Dealt to the San Diego Padres for 1974, McAndrew went just 1-4 and was released in June to end his major league career.
He is the father of Jamie McAndrew.
Notable Achievement[edit]
- Won a World Series with the New York Mets in 1969 (he did not play in the World Series)
