Biographical Information[edit]
Father of Larry Eschen, Jim had 15 games in the majors with the 1915 Indians and spent four years in the minors. The shape of his career was much like his son Larry's, as both had a brief time in the majors and a relatively short minor league career.
Jim, a centerfielder, played his games with the Indians at a time when Shoeless Joe Jackson was also an outfielder on the team. Jim's games were in July, and Jackson would be traded away in August.
