Biographical Information[edit]

Infielder Larry Eschen played briefly in the majors.

The son of big leaguer Jim Eschen, Eschen went hitless in a dozen games for the Philadelphia Athletics in 1942. After serving in the U.S. Army during World War II, he played a final season of minor league ball in 1946.

After his playing days, Larry was a teacher, coach and counselor in New York, and then lived in retirement in Gainesville, GA. [1]
