Biographical Information

Jianzhong Liu was on the Chinese national team in the 2002 World University Championship, hitting .333/.400/.444 and handling 19 chances error-free at second base. Batting third and usually playing second in the 2002 Asian Games, he batted .273 with three steals and four RBI in six games. He also appeared in the 2003 Asian Championship and 2009 Asian Championship. He played for the Tianjin Lions in the China Baseball League, and he led the league in hits in 2003.
