Biographical Information[edit]
Ji-kyu Park played in the Korea Baseball Organization.
A 5th-round pick of the LG Twins in the 2015 KBO draft, he debuted with them that season. Playing 102 games and getting 171 at-bats, the second baseman hit .205/.259/.263. He was with the military's Sangmu Phoenix team in 2016-2017 to fulfill his mandatory military service. In the 2017 Asian Championship, he hit .222/.200/.222 with 3 runs in 6 games for the South Korean national team while handling 5 putouts and 10 assists with no errors. In the Bronze Medal Game, he replaced Ho-yeon Lee at 2B and Sung-gyu Lee in the lineup during a 15-0 rout of the Philippines; he went 1 for 2 with a run.
