Biographical Information[edit]
Jesús Garrido has pitched for the Nicaraguan national team.
Garrido was 2-0 with a 1.66 ERA as a rookie for Chinandega in 2013. He remained solid in 2014 (1-1, 5 Sv, 2.67) and 2015 (3-2, 3.31). In 2016, he was even sharper at 7-2, 2.14 with one save in 41 games. He had a 6-3, 2.48 record in '17 and 1-2 with four saves and a 1.20 ERA in 2018. In 2019, he was 12-5 with a 3.30 ERA and 106 K in 106 1/3 IP when he made Nicaragua's squad for the 2019 Pan American Games. [1] In his lone start, he lost to Ronald Ramírez and Colombia, lasting 2 2/3 IP before Jimmi Bermudez took over. He gave up four hits, three runs (two earned) and one walk while fanning two. A Steve Brown homer was the big blow. Nicaragua would avenge the loss two days later in the Bronze Medal Game. [2]
