Jesús García has pitched in the minors.
García debuted with his hometown Sultanes de Monterrey in 2012, allowing two runs in 4 1/3 IP. With the Leones de Yucatán in 2013, he was 3-1 with a 6.91 ERA in 22 games. He had a 3.73 ERA in 26 games for the 2014 Toros de Tijuana. In '15, he was 3-1 with a 2.72 ERA, working only 46 1/3 IP over 54 games. He was excellent with the Mayos de Navojoa in 2015-2016, going 2-0 with a save, 0.89 ERA and .92 WHIP in 32 outings. He tied Manny Delcarmen and Steven Hensley for 7th in the Mexican Pacific League in games pitched.
The right-hander was on the Mexican national team in the 2016 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers. He pitched one game, relieving Carlos Fisher in the 7th with the bases loaded, one out and a 11-0 lead. He got Omar Obregón to hit into a double play, ending the game (due to the mercy rule). Mexico would win a spot in the 2017 World Baseball Classic. He slipped to 3-2, 5.10 for the 2016 Toros and had a 4.34 ERA in 27 winter outings for the Mayos.
