Biographical Information[edit]
Catcher Jerry Willard hit 2 home runs on May 21, 1984 as a member of the Cleveland Indians against the Boston Red Sox. The pitcher was Hall of Famer Dennis Eckersley.
He hit a walk-off game-winning sacrifice fly in the 12th inning of Game 3 of the 1991 World Series, scoring Mark Lemke, playing for the Atlanta Braves against the Minnesota Twins. The losing pitcher was Rick Aguilera, one of the better closers of his era
