Biographical Information[edit]
Pitcher Jerry Vasto was the first alumni of Felician College to reach the major leagues; the school had only started its baseball program in 2000.
He had a rough major league debut for the Colorado Rockies against the Arizona Diamondbhacks on June 10, 2018. He relieved Kyle Freeland in the top of the 7th with the Rockies trailing, 4-2 and gave up a single, a walk, a two-run triple to Paul Goldschmidt and a double to Ketel Marte before giving way to Chris Rusin to be charged with 3 runs in just two-thirds of a inning. The Rockies had selected him in the 24th round of the 2014 amateur draft.
