Biographical Information[edit]

Jeremy Blevins, a pitcher, was drafted by the California Angels in the 3rd round (60th overall) of the 1995 amateur draft. Blevins began his professional career with the AZL Angels in the Arizona League. He pitched well for them putting up a 5-1 record with a 2.45 ERA in 11 games. The next season he was sent to the Boise Hawks where he struggled. Blevins went 2-3 with a 6.60 ERA in 13 starts. That off-season he was traded along with Ryan Kane to the New York Yankees for Jim Leyritz.

Once in the Yankees system Blevins once again showed life in the Gulf Coast League going 5-3 with a 2.43 ERA. Jeremy would spend the next five years climbing the ladder making it to the AAA Columbus Clippers in 2002. He retired after that season with a career record of 36-36 and a 4.07 ERA.

He is not to be confused with long-time major leaguer Jerry Blevins.
