Biographical Information[edit]

Jeong-hun Lee has been a pitcher in the Korea Baseball Organization for over 15 years.

Lee began his career with the Lotte Giants in 1997, going 1-0 with a 6.51 ERA in 15 games. That was the year the first Jeong-hun Lee, a star outfielder, was ending his KBO career. In 1998, the Busan native was 3-2 with two saves and a 4.44 ERA in 35 games. He struggled in 1999 (2-1, Sv, 7.13 in 10 G), 2000 (1-2, 6.43 in 10 G), 2001 (5 runs in 5 IP) and 2002 (1-3, 6.32 in 19 G). In 2003, still only 25 years old, he showed progress, going 7-8 with a save and a 5.20 ERA.

Lee was 1-4 with a 4.19 ERA for the 2004 Giants, 2-3 with a save and a 4.44 ERA in 2005 and 1-3 with a 4.15 ERA in 2006, an effective middle reliever for the most part. In 2007, he began battling injuries, lasting only 7 1/3 IP that year. He missed all of 2008 but returned to go 1-3 with a 3.03 ERA in 57 games in 2009. In 2010, he ended his Lotte career with a rocky campaign (3-9, Sv, 6.85 in 43 G). They traded him to the Nexen Heroes with Jeong-min Park for Won-jun Ko. In 2011, he was 3-3 with a save and a 3.78 ERA for his new club, followed by 4-4 with a save and a 4.67 ERA in 2012.
