Biographical Information[edit]

Jeff Wedvick played in the minor leagues for three years.

Wedvick was taken by the Montréal Expos in the 27th round of the 1986 amateur draft. He hit .274/.346/.350 as the #2 catcher for the Jamestown Expos that summer. In 1987, he played for Jamestown (.246/.295/.343 in 44 G) and the Burlington Expos (3 for 15, 2B, BB). In his final season, he went 4 for 34 with two doubles and two walks for the West Palm Beach Expos. Overall, the Iowa State alumnus had batted .259/.319/.347 in 279 plate appearances over 82 games, with 35 runs and 25 RBI. He had fielded .978 in 70 games behind the plate and played error-free ball at 1B (12 G) and in the outfield (3 G).
