Biographical Information[edit]
Jeff Mercer is a college coach.
Mercer was a two-time first team All-Horizon League honoree at first base and was named a third-team All-American in 2009.
Mercer was a grad assistant at Ohio Northern University in 2010 and then a volunteer assistant at University of Michigan in 2011 and Western Kentucky University in 2012-2013. Wright returned to his alma mater as assistant coach from 2014-2016 and head coach in 2017-2018. The school won the 2018 Horizon League Tournament and went to the College World Series Stanford Regional.
Mercer moved to the Indiana University Bloomington in 2019. He has taken the school to the College World Series Regionals in 2019 and 2023.
Mercer’s father, Jeff Sr., served as an Indiana University baseball assistant coach from 1988 to 1989.
