Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Jeff Martin played eight seasons of minor league ball.

Selected by the Kansas City Royals in the eighth round of the 1995 amateur draft, Martin made his pro debut that summer with the GCL Royals, going 3-1 and leading the Gulf Coast League with a 1.47 ERA. Following the 1996 season, he was dealt to the Pittsburgh Pirates as part of a six-player trade. He spent four years in the Pirates organization, briefly reaching the AA level with the Altoona Curve in 2000. Following one summer in the independent Texas-Louisiana League, he played his final pro season with the Stockton Ports in the Cincinnati Reds chain in 2002.
