Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Javon Walker was taken by the Florida Marlins in the 12th round of the 1997 amateur draft, two picks after pitcher Randy Williams. He played in their system from 1997 to 1999, never advancing below low-A ball. In 56 career games, he hit .169/.279/.230 with two home runs, 10 RBI and 4 stolen bases.

He later became a Pro Bowl wide receiver in the National Football League, playing for three teams from 2002 to 2009.
