Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Jason Jackson played in the Boston Red Sox system from 1983 to 1989, having been taken by them in the 9th round of the January phase of the 1983 amateur draft. He also played in the Cleveland Indians system in 1990. He peaked at Double-A. Perhaps his best campaign was 1987 with the Winter Haven Red Sox; that year, he hit .310/.401/.402 with 112 hits, 16 stolen bases and 57 runs scored in 107 games, making the Florida State League All-Star team. Overall, he hit 258/.351/.343 with 97 stolen bases and 309 runs scored in 725 games over 8 seasons. He stole 20 bases twice.
