Biographical Information[edit]
Outfielder Jared Hoying began his professional career in 2010. He was taken in the 10th round of that year's amateur draft by the Texas Rangers.
In 2010, he hit .325/.378/.543 with ten home runs, 20 stolen bases and 79 hits in 62 games for the Spokane Indians. He was a Northwest League All-Star and was named the league's Most Valuable Player. He reached Triple A for the first time in 2013 and hit 13 home runs and 48 RBI in 93 games between the Double-A Frisco RoughRiders and Triple-A Round Rock Express. He followed that with 26 home runs, 78 RBI and 20 steals for Round Rock in 2014 and 23 home runs, 60 RBI and 20 steals for the club in 2015, despite hitting only .214/.263/.433. He debuted in the majors the next year and spent part of 2017 at that level, as well. He played for the Hanwha Eagles of the Korea Baseball Organization from 2018 to 2020, hitting .306/.370/.573 with 30 home runs, 110 RBI and 23 steals his first year there. He returned to the majors briefly in 2021, his final professional season.
