Biographical Information

Jamie Wolkosky pitched for Team Canada in the 1990 Goodwill Games. In the 1990 Baseball World Cup, he had roles in both Canadian wins, saving David Krug's win over Venezuela with two shutout innings and getting the 7-6 win over the Dutch national team (saved, in turn, by Krug). He had a 5.40 ERA despite 12 hits allowed in 6 2/3 IP. He led Canada with five appearances, one more than Mike Ross. He tied for fourth in the Cup in games pitched.

The British Columbian native's 15 saves in 1992 set a NC State record. He was named All-American by both Collegiate Baseball and the American Baseball Coaches Association. He led NCAA Division I in saves. Despite that strong campaign, he does not appear to have played in the pro ranks.
