Biographical Information[edit]

Jamie Wolkosky pitched for Team Canada in the 1990 Goodwill Games. [1] In the 1990 Baseball World Cup, he had roles in both Canadian wins, saving David Krug's win over Venezuela with two shutout innings and getting the 7-6 win over the Dutch national team (saved, in turn, by Krug). He had a 5.40 ERA despite 12 hits allowed in 6 2/3 IP. He led Canada with five appearances, one more than Mike Ross. He tied for fourth in the Cup in games pitched. [2]

The British Columbian native's 15 saves in 1992 set a NC State record. [3] He was named All-American by both Collegiate Baseball and the American Baseball Coaches Association. [4] He led NCAA Division I in saves. [5] Despite that strong campaign, he does not appear to have played in the pro ranks.
