Biographical Information[edit]
David Krug pitched for Team Canada in the 1990 Goodwill Games. [1] He was 1-1 with a save and a 4.35 ERA as Canada's ace in the 1990 Baseball World Cup; Chris Smeeton was next in ERA at 5.06. Jamie Wolkosky saved his win over Venezuela then he returned the favor four days later against the Netherlands. He lost to Japan and Hideo Koike. [2] In a qualifier-round game for the 1991 Pan American Games, he suffered a possible broken nose in a Canadian-Mexican brawl. [3] He was 1-0 in the 1991 World Port Tournament, tying Fernando Da Silva for 8th with 10 2/3 IP. [4] He was also 7th with a 3.38 ERA, between José Ibar and future four-time World Series champion Orlando Hernández. [5] The California Angels took him in the 28th round of the 1992 amateur draft, but he did not sign. His LinkedIn page says he later worked in finance.
