Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Jake Woodford was taken by the St. Louis Cardinals 39th overall in the Competitive Balance Round A of the 2015 amateur draft. He began his professional career in 2015 with the GCL Cardinals, going 1-0 with a 2.39 ERA in 8 games (5 starts). In 2016, he was 5-5 with a 3.31 mark in 21 starts for the Peoria Chiefs and in 2017, he went 7-6 with a 3.10 ERA in 23 games (21 starts) for the Palm Beach Cardinals. He reached Triple A for the first time in 2018.

He was a Mid-Season All-Star in 2016 and 2018.
