Biographical Information[edit]

Jake McGuiggan graduated from Harvard University in 2015. An infielder, he played independent league ball from 2015-2017 with the Garden State Grays, the New Britain Bees, and the Long Island Ducks.

Following his playing career, McGuiggan joined the Toronto Blue Jays organization. He was a video analyst for the Bluefield Blue Jays in 2018 and held a joint coach/analyst position with the Dunedin Blue Jays in 2019. McGuiggan was scheduled to be a development coach with the Buffalo Bisons in 2020 before the coronavirus pandemic caused the minor league season to be cancelled. He was development coach for Buffalo in 2021-2023. After the 2022 season McGuiggan coached the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League. He served as the bench coach of the New Hampshire Fisher Cats in 2024.
