Biographical Information[edit]
Jaka Trobec hit .286/.333/.357 and fielded .895 as the Slovenian national team starting second baseman in the round-robin portion of the 1999 European Championship. [1] In the 2008 European Championship Qualifier, he batted .188/.316/.250 with four runs and four RBI in four games, but fielding .800 with 5 errors. He tied for 4th in runs, tied Martin Schneider and Michal Ondracek for 7th in RBI and led with 16 assists but was also second in errors. [2] During the 2011 European Championship Qualifier, he drew 7 walks in 4 games and was at .200/.529/.200, fielding .929. He was 6th in OBP, trailed only Ivan Racic and Filip Berecka in RBI (he had 5), led in walks (2 ahead of Slobodan Gales) and was second with 10 assists (6 behind Alexander Nassapov). [3]
The veteran produced at a .154/.353/.154 clip with 4 walks in 4 games in the 2013 B-Level European Championship, fielding .964. He tied for 4th in walks, tied Mitch Evans for 8th in chances (28), was 3rd in assists and tied Takanobu Oshima for second with four double plays. [4]
