Biographical Information[edit]
Jae-hyun Kim pitched in the KBO for 5 years.
Kim joined the Sammi Superstars when the KBO was founded in 1982, and he was 6-19 with a 6.13 ERA that season. He led the league with 19 losses (tied with Sang-soo No) and 268 hits allowed, and he was 2nd in appearances (1 behind Gyu-bong Hwang). He had a 3.31 ERA in 12 games in 1983, then he went 3-4 with a 4.32 ERA in 1984. Kim's ERA was 3.38 in 12 games in 1985, but he allowed 10 runs in 4 1/3 innings in 1986 then he retired. He later coached Seorak High School from 1998 to 2003 and Cheongwon High School from 2005 to 2007.
Overall, Kim was 12-30 with a 5.23 ERA, struck out 133 and pitched 381 2/3 innings in 5 seasons in the KBO.
