Biographical Information[edit]
Jae-goo Kim played in the Korea Baseball Organization for 4 years.
Kim was drafted by the Haitai Tigers in the 7th round of the 1997 KBO draft, and he decided to go to college first. He joined the Tigers in 2001, and he was sent to the SK Wyverns the next season. Kim was 6-for-14 in 2002, then he didn't appear with the big club for the next three seasons. He missed two of the three seasons due to military service, and he also represented South Korea in the 2005 Baseball World Cup. He was 2-for-15 in the event with 3 walks, 2 runs and 2 RBI; he had nine putouts as a corner outfielder. He sat out the title game, which they lost to Cuba. Kim hit .269/.316/.519 with 3 homers in 2006, and he went 3-for-22 in 2007. He only played 5 games with a 0-for-8 record in 2008, then his professional career ended.
Overall, Kim hit .240/.282/.417 with 23 hits and 4 homers in 4 seasons in the KBO.
