Jadran Dadić debuted for the Croatian national team in the 2009 Baseball World Cup. A late addition to the roster, the 21-year-old wound up leading their staff with a 3.86 ERA; 7 of his 8 teammates were over eight. Facing a Nicaraguan lineup of mostly players with minor league experience, he allowed one run in 2 1/3 IP with a solo homer by Esteban Ramírez the lone blemish. He fanned Danilo Sotelo twice and Mario Holmann once.
