Biographical Information[edit]
Stooping Jack Gorman and Thomas Gorman both played on the Kansas City Cowboys in 1884. For a long time, they were thought to be the same person (and in fact, along with playing for Kansas City, they were both from St. Louis, MO). They are not listed as relatives. Both died close to the age of 40.
Whereas Tom only played in the majors for Kansas City in 1884, Jack played for three different teams in 1883 and 1884. Jack also had a minor league career, playing for nine teams in a period of six years. With the 1887 Denver team, he was a teammate of older veterans such as Trick McSorley as well as young future major leaguers such as Red Ehret and Skyrocket Smith.
