Biographical Information

J.R. DiMercurio has been a scout.

DiMercurio was at Dixie Junior College in 2000. He redshirted at Wichita State in 2001 due to elbow surgery. He then played at Cowley County Community College in 2002. Back at Wichita State in 2003, he hit .274. He missed 2004 due to a hamstring injury then was 4 for 26 with two doubles for Wichita State in 2005, as a sixth-year senior. He was assistant coach at Cowley County Community College in 2006-2007 then was hired by the Minnesota Twins as a scout. He signed Kyle Gibson.
