Biographical Information[edit]
Outfielder J.P. Martínez played for Guantanamo, Isla de la Juventud and Camagüey in the Cuban League between 2012 and 2017. He was a member of the Cuban national team that played a series of games in the Can-Am Association in 2016, then joined the Aigles de Trois-Rivières in that same league in 2017.
He signed with the Texas Rangers in March of 2018 and reached the majors in August of 2023 with the Rangers.
