Biographical Information[edit]
J.O. Christian coached baseball at the University of Connecticut from 1936-1961, going 254-170-7. He took the school to the 1957 College World Series and 1959 College World Series. Among his products were Walt Dropo, Gary Waslewski, Rollie Sheldon and Moe Morhardt. The team named its baseball field J.O. Christian Field in his honor. He also coached football and basketball for UConn.
