Issamu Iwasaki was a third baseman on the Brazilian national team that tied for first in the 1959 South American Championship. As a 2B/RF in the 1959 Pan American Games, he was 2 for 11 in the four games for which the Chicago Tribune listed box scores (Brazil played six games overall). He won Silver in the 1963 South American Championship.
