Biographical Information[edit]

Minor league starting pitcher Ismael Guillon began his professional career at 18 years old in 2010.

Signed by Cincinnati Reds scout Antonio Arias, Guillon went 3-3 with a 3.32 ERA in 12 games (10 starts) for the AZL Reds his first year, striking out 73 batters in 57 innings. In 2011, he had a 6.57 ERA in 15 starts for the Billings Mustangs, though he rebounded nicely the next year by going 6-1 with a 2.38 ERA in 15 games between Billings and the Dayton Dragons. He struck out 90 batters in 75 2/3 innings and earned a spot on the Pioneer League Post-Season All-Star team. In 2013, he was 7-8 with a 4.75 ERA for Dayton, with 134 Ks in 121 1/3 innings. Following the campaign, he was named to a MiLB.com Organization All-Star. Between Dayton and the Bakersfield Blaze in 2014, he was 5-7 with a 4.88 ERA. He was a Midwest League Mid-Season All-Star.
