Biographical Information[edit]
Isidro Márquez pitched seven games for the Chicago White Sox in 1995. His minor league and international career lasted from 1988 to 2011.
Márquez, born in Mexico, started in the minors in 1988 in the Los Angeles Dodgers organization, where he stayed through 1993, rising as high as AAA ball. Moving to the Chicago White Sox organization after being traded for Ron Coomer, he pitched for them in 1994 and 1995, including his brief stint in the majors the second year.
Márquez pitched for many years in Mexico, mostly with the Piratas de Campeche but also with other teams. In 2008 he pitched for the Rojos del Aguila de Veracruz, a team which also featured former major leaguer Jose Offerman. Márquez had an even 300 Mexican League saves, making him the league's all-time leader.
