Isaac Miqueleiz Cortés
Biographical Information[edit]
Isaac Miqueleiz was a first baseman for the Spanish national team, a role his brother Jorge Miqueleiz would later hold. A third brother, Fernando Miqueleiz, also played in the Division de Honor. Isaac hit .161/.188/.290 with 10 strikeouts in 31 at-bats as Spain's main first baseman in the 1995 European Championship but the team still won the Bronze Medal. He was 2 for 13 with a walk, 5 whiffs and an error in the 1995 Intercontinental Cup. Moving to catcher in the 1997 Intercontinental Cup, his numbers nearly were identical with 1995, as he went 2 for 12 with a walk, 5 strikeouts and an error, splitting time with Francisco Aristu.
