Biographical information[edit]
Hideki Nagasaki was an independent league starting pitcher who played in 2002 and from 2004 to 2009.
In 2002, he played for the Solano Steelheads of the Western League and the Cook County Cheetahs of the Frontier League, going a combined 0-1 with a 7.24 ERA in five games (three starts). In 2004, he played for the Northern League's Lincoln Saltdogs, going 8-7 with a 3.58 ERA in 20 games (17 starts). He was 10th in the league in ERA. He split the 2005 season between the Saltdogs and the Golden Baseball League's Japan Samurai Bears, going 8-8 with a 3.71 ERA in 21 games (18 starts) and striking out 148 batters in 119 innings. He was 9th in the GBL with a 3.26 ERA.
Nagasaka played for the Reno Silver Sox and Chico Heat in 2006 - both in the Golden League - and went 6-3 with a 4.97 ERA in 15 games (12 starts). In 2007, Nagasaka went 10-1 with a 2.94 ERA in 19 games (17 starts) for the Nashua Pride of the Canadian-American Association, finishing sixth in ERA. He went 8-6 with a 5.47 ERA for them in 2008 and in 2009 he went 3-0 with a 7.44 ERA in 13 games (10 starts) for the Golden League's Calgary Vipers.
