Biographical Information[edit]

Henry Smoyer apparently had a very short pro career. He was at Albright College in 1909-1912, an in 1912, he played 33 games in the minors for the Harrisburg Senators, and then was up in the big leagues with the St. Louis Browns, appearing in 6 games and hitting .214/.313/214. At age 22, he was much younger than team star and future Hall of Famer Bobby Wallace.

Henry doesn't seem to have played pro ball after 1912.

Smoyer made some good defensive plays in helping pitcher Earl Hamilton of the Browns achieve the first major league no-hitter that was accomplished without a strikeout. [1]
