Biographical Information

Infielder Henry Rodriguez reached the majors with the Cincinnati Reds in 2012.

Signed by scout Tony Arias for the Reds a month after he turned 17, Rodriguez split 2007 between the VSL Devil Rays/Reds (.267/.361/.427) and the DSL Reds (4 for 17, BB). In 2008, he hit .316/.388/.394 for the DFSL Reds and stole 21 bases in 28 tries as a utility infielder.

Rodriguez came to the U.S. in 2009, batting .322/.354/.421 for the GCL Reds and going 9-for-9 in steal attempts while seeing most action as a utility infielder. He spent most of the next summer with the Dayton Dragons, hitting .307 with 14 home runs, 78 RBIs, and 33 steals.
