Biographical Information[edit]
Helmis Rodríguez signed with the Colorado Rockies as an international free agent out of Venezuela. He pitched in the Rockies minor league system from 2011-2017. Rodríguez spent his final two seasons at High-A with the Lancaster JetHawks.
Following his playing career, Rodríguez coached in the Rockies minor league system. He was a pitching coach for the DSL Rockies 2 in 2018-2019. Rodríguez was scheduled to be the Grand Junction Rockies pitching coach in 2020 before the coronavirus pandemic caused the minor league season to be cancelled. Rodríguez was a pitching coach for the ACL Rockies in 2021-2023.
His twin brother Herlis Rodríguez has played pro ball as well.
