Biographical Information

Héctor Martínez has played for the Salvadoran national team.

His three games pitched for El Salvador in the 2017 Bolivarian Games tied Felix Rodas for the team lead. His 8 1/3 IP led the staff, 1/3 ahead of William Ponce and Marcelo Parker, while his 1.08 ERA led their qualifiers. He fanned three, tying Parker for second on the staff (two behind Ponce). In the 2017 Central American Games, he made one brief appearance against Panama, relieving Jairo Aparicio in the 8th. He allowed a hit and a walk while striking out one. El Salvador won a Bronze Medal.
