Biographical Information[edit]
Hector Eduardo was signed by the St. Louis Cardinals in November, 1971 and spent 1972 to 1974 in the Cardinals farm system as an OF/1B. He led the 1973 Gulf Coast League with 6 HR, 87 TB and 16 errors at 1B. After hitting .222 for the St. Petersburg Cardinals in 1974, Eduardo spent 1975 on the voluntarily retired list.
Eduardo came back and spent 1976 to 1980 moving up the Cards' farm system as a pitcher. He tied for the lead in the 1979 Texas League with 3 shutouts and the 1980 American Association with 100 BB. Eduardo was sold conditionally to the Chicago White Sox in October 1980, but never made the majors.
