The Hawaii national baseball team was a baseball team that represented the United States territory of Hawaii that represented the nation in senior-level men's international competition. They played in the 1940 Amateur World Series and acquitted themselves well, tying for 4th at 5-7 with Venezuela, a major international baseball power and ahead of both Mexico and Puerto Rico. Lawrence Kunihisa hit .429/.571/.524 and led the event with seven swipes as their offensive star. The team included Herbert North, who had pitched in the First Japan Professional Baseball League game and former minor leaguers Johnny Kerr and Pat Gleason. Bill Inman was the manager.
