Biographical Information[edit]
Harry "Butch" O'Donnell played for the Philadelphia Phillies in 1927, getting into 16 games at the age of 33. His minor league career was at least from 1915 to 1928, and he managed in the minors in 1935.
He was remembered many years later when Chris Coste, also a catcher, made his debut in 2006 and was even a bit older than O'Donnell was in his Phillies debut. As of 2006, Harry was the 10th oldest catcher in major league history to make his major league debut. [1]
Harry scouted for the Philadelphia A's, Cleveland Indians, and Chicago White Sox.
